Geton recalls passing by a small village on the eastern coast during his journeys with the old army.
"I can't for the life of me remember what kind of people lived there though."
He suggests a provision stop at the village east of here.

You and Geton combine your money into one travel budget. Prinn carries no coins as the daughter of a king.

After having travelled for two days, (see details in Journey Log above) your party encounter a Demon Bear in the Northern Woods!

(To gain an advantage in battle, unless you choose to flee of course, write commands for ALL of your party members at once, as that will count as a single round!)

I will be going away over new years and for a few more days, so I can't update on Sunday which somehow has come to be my usual update-day. I'll be back before you know it though!

My god, we haven't even killed a rat yet, and our first enemy is a demon bear!

> Run to the eastern village

Unless another reader wants to attack, then I'll go along with it.

what are the consiquences for faliure in combat?

Consequences definitely won't be like "YOU DIED - start over?" but I haven't thought of anything yet. Perhaps the standard "A hunter found you unconscious in the woods and carried you to the nearest village".

>Prinn: Hide behind the manly man. Geton, I mean.

>Geton: Pull out the sword you have and thrust.

>Protagonist I do not remember the name of: Wildy swipe at the bear with flappy hands!

You're right, he doesn't have a name. We should give him one sometime.
